Happiness is Awaiting Us

If the flowers wither. If the sea sea moves away from the shore. If the stars are not seen at night, it will not be because all is lost. It will be because tomorrow is another day and one flower will open its bud and will smile to the light of the day. And the sea that moved away, will be back to the beach, bringing breeze and the singing of the seagulls.

And when the night gets darker, to the point that I will not be able to see not even my hands, I will look up -where the vision of my eyes dilutes in the horizon of mystery, and a small star will shine again. And although its light will be very faint, I will believe again in its twinkling and also that all passes that sadness does not last and that happiness is awaiting us when the light arrives in the morning, when the night dies and the day smiles again.

True Friendship

People were searching for the most positive and collaborating person, in the town of this story; they wanted to find the model of good friend, meaning, not only who gives support in happiness and sadness but who promotes and wants the best. And with this purpose in mind, they placed big signs, and distributed pamphlets, saying: " Reward, we are searching for the True Friend "

The day of the event was set and -as expected, many persons came along with rivers of people bringing music bands, food, abundant gifts. Others, also came, making all kind of promises, some, even a little drunk, while others were talking about their own experiences. There was a great diversity, that seemed like a fair of give away and gifts. Three days passed and finally the turn came for a man, who was empty handed and wearing simple clothes,

- Where did you leave the gifts, the wine and other enjoyments? How do you dare to show yourself in front of us without anything to offer? he was asked, while they look at him contemptuously, as if he was fool or mad and he was requested to make the promise of bringing something and to offer his excuses.

-I knew about this competition but I did not mean to be part of it, since I only want to share part of this happiness, which would be enough for me, just to be able to see the joy in you, would fill me in a moment, and would make my day. But I understand that you were expecting other things that I can't give now, since I am a humble man of the fields, who watches you pass every day, and who is able to see your lives, somewhat, while wishing you all the best. My work is hard and my hands bleed at times, while working in the fields, but I can only think of offering the best to you. I did not bring anything. Your happiness makes me happy but I am leaving now, I do not want to bother you.

These words, somewhat, went into the hearts of all the persons who were there, who clearly understood, that they did not know the true meaning of Friendship. While that humble man did, since the true and real Friendship can't be bought or sold, can't be exalted, prostituted or spoiled. Friendship is like the flower of the fields: natural, spontaneous, sincere, true and humble.

And that day in that town, the true meaning of Friendship was discovered.

How to Overcome Suffering

When the suffering is deep and profound, it confuses and harm making us giving up and losing hope. Yes, it might seem that life has no sense.

There are sufferings so great and intense that happiness seems dead and even madness would be better because the suffering opens gaps in the soul, because the heart bleeds and anguish takes over the mind; the will does not want more. It is the denial of denials and self denial.

Then, at this point, the miracle happens and God illuminates with His Mercy and in spite of everything, His Light springs forth victorious in the mystery of Faith.

Mysteries of the Heart. The Two Sisters

These two sisters would quarrel all the time and the king of the village called them to decide which was the best. In order to avoid preferences he made them wear long robes with their heads covered and in this way nobody could see them but only listen to their discussion. And the king said: ” The winner will be considered as great mentor and she will govern all this place.”
When the wise men heard those words they decided between themselves to choose the most alike to them so their town could not reclaim them anything.
So, they were guided to a large room and were told: ” You’ll have to answer our questions, by which, you will be evaluated and qualified.”
Then, they followed the rules and asked one of them: ” Tell us about you.” And she said: ” If you ever would get depressed, I would never abandon you. I would be by your side night and day. If you ever had difficulties and anguish, I assure you that I will be there for you.”
And they asked the same question to the other sister, who answered: ” If all that would happen, I would flee, I could not stand it.”
They were most surprised by that answer and tried to dwell on the topic, by asking one of them: ” What would you do if somebody very close to you in the town, would die?” She answered right away: ” I would be in front of the funeral procession helping with my own hands in the burial. As you all, I would go day by day to the grave of this person. Even more, whether this person had my affection or not, I would help with all my heart.”
They were moved by the answer and they asked the other sister who said: ” I could not visit the cemetery, I could never join you and even if you asked me to go only once, I could not do it.”
The wise men were most uncomfortable for this answer. They did not want to ask more questions but three questions were a must and they asked one of the sisters: ” How do you get along with people? ” And she said: ” I deeply go into their hearts and then, I take care of their minds, without leaving anything unattended. I am most interested since the first moment and once, I know them, no matter what happens, I am committed to always accompany them.”
The wise men were most astonished with that answer and commented: ” How charming, what a nice expression!”
Then, they asked the other sister who said: ” I am fleeting and passing, it may be that I will be with you part of the day but you will not find me easily. If I enter your door, I will leave by your window and before night fall you would have forgotten me.”
On listening to these words, the king, who had been present, said: ” This is enough!” And the wise men also agreed. Then, they chose one and they dismissed the other sister. They even told her: ” Because of your answers, it is much better, that you leave this town, we ask you to go and never come back. There is no place for you here. It is clear that your sister will be made mentor and she will rule the house of the king and all the townspeople. Her orders will be law forever.”
The story goes that nothing was left of that town, only this story. If you ever pass by that place, you will see desert, wasteland and dust. Not even the filthiest animals and despicable beings enter that place.
I then asked who were those sisters. And they told me that those sisters were “Sadness” and ” Happiness”
As you already have realized, when they were all covered with robes and hoods they looked alike. Sadness is possessive, absorbing and a liar, that is the reason that she won since she gave the impression of perfect attention. While the other sister, is like a shooting star since happiness is a passing state. But a terrible thing happened as soon as Sadness started to rule, the king lost his family, horrible plagues came, the harvests were lost. Sadness took over their hearts and finally all was lost.”
Nothing was known about Happiness since she was forbidden from coming into the city and that is why the kingdom was lost.
Life is filled with mysteries! Be very careful and do not be confused. Read this story many times and as you read again, you will understand more.

When I asked You for a flower, You gave me a thorn. When I asked You for Your Love, you hid Your face from me. When I wanted to embrace You, I could only embrace the wind.

When I asked for the reason, You kept silent.
Then, I was consumed as incense, crying, calling You and You did not arrive.
I gathered my strength and said: " I don't have anything, nothing good enough to give You, but I want to offer what's inside my blood, accept it because it was always for You."
Then, You arrived with the thunder of the sea, you entered my heart and filled me with Love, greater that what I could conceive of. And You said: " Now, it is True Love."

Meditation can change many things, it can transform our lives and it certainly can make better persons out of us. All this is due to the fact that we can realize the Truth and this is a gradual, but very serious and consistent process. Soon, we will be discovering if we really are sincere with ourselves, if indeed we want to change, to have peace and above all, to be a source of love and inspiration. Meditation, then, it’s directly related to self-criticism, which is a constructive process to understand ourselves and also to understand others. It is possible that in occasions we enter in contradiction, but the important thing will be of course, to find our weakest points, going beyond the superficial analysis and besides, to be able to communicate, since man often lives too much in the fantasy and he needs to have a real and practical spirituality. Although to meditate is not properly to analyze, meditation will take us to a clearer conscience, in harmony and peace. Let’s look for in meditation not a reason for isolation but as a source of universal love.

Inner Growth. The Maturity of the Soul

Inner Growth is the force that awakens, grows, strenghtens and matures in a very special way although each heart always has quite long moments that seem an eternity.
Thus, Inner Growth may seem to be an unattainable effort, it is not something simple, it is not as to read a book and to learn the story by heart. Nevertheless it is something that supports us so we can resist the most terrible and tremendous times and help us to make the correct decisions.
Sometimes there will be no gain but there also will be less loss and sometimes there will be so much gain and so much balance as well, that the gained power will not make us sick.
Inner Growth is the result of a existential crisis, a reckless war between good and evil, a bloody battle within ourselves with dead and wounded, with tears and laughter, resistance of resistance. It is the moment where control, balance and judgment seem to go insane but suddenly, a Superior Calm arrives, that only Faith and Love are able to offer.
Who dies for love? Who can forgive his enemies? Who can give his possessions to the thieves? For some it will seem as abandonment, madness, disappointment, fanaticism or obsession, but Inner Growth is what gives - by example, the capacity to serve, to forgive, to smile, even when they have offended us, and even if the moments are difficult to live.
Inner Growth happens when man opens his heart to Love and not to any love but to the Love of God and even though the circumstances in appearance might be, terminal, irreparable, there will always be a strength that will shake heaven and earth because we are free in the freedom based on not to choose hate or resentment.
What excellent, sublime force, what exquisite perfume the one that emanates of Inner Growth !
For the mystic is devotion, for the man of the world in its better expression is: Honesty, reason, justice, discipline and courage.
Inner Growth is the soul reaching maturity, the shared in common life, the spiritual, simple and humble life. Nevertheless, it is rich in the gifts of surrender, charity and on the awareness of the Superior Truth.

How to Overcome Self Limitations

Man’s largest limitation is self imposed. And is such a heavy chain that gives place to a self sentence. The only cause of this misfortune is apathy, boredom and lack of a responsible work. Every being posses wonderful talents. Nevertheless, when these talents are not cultivated, what is left is confusion and disgrace.

What is the reason that man does not have success? The explanation is hard and simple: Because he is hoping to get everything without doing any effort. One of the worse spiritual diseases is lack of interest and idleness, which are terrible and powerful destroyers of all good.
Who can harvest what he did not plant? Who can gather what he did not cultivated? What is the reason that man chains himself to misery?
Because, in principle he has been negligent, he has abandoned his responsibility and he has delegated in others. That is the reason that he has lost everything. But, we are not only referring to the strictly material, but to the essentially spiritual.
The misery and poverty of man, are like demons who corrupt and destroy. Where can we find effort, compassion, commitment, service, wisdom? In fact, we will not find anything. When there is no work, great care and effort, what can be reclaimed? What can be asked? Only that disgrace turns into total chaos.
What is the solution? A life committed in a more realistic way, where we find the need to produce, to give our best.
Can a father or a mother abandon his hungry child? There are many kind of hunger. But the spiritual hunger is the largest disgrace because it brings weakness and susceptibility that later on will bring man to the denial of peace and love.
We can’t confuse the term “poor in spirit” which clearly means-and is necessary to clarify-that a man does not have riches by himself, but that his riches are found in God. And this, of course, is absolutely true, correct and transcendental.
But when we talk about the “heaven of bronze,” we are referring to a lack of perspective in life. It is like watching a stranger or even a loved one without doing anything. We simply become passive in such absurd way and at the same time, we pretend to have everything, without giving anything in return. This is not possible and is not right. The whole humanity must participate with a healthy interest to develop. God has given us many abilities, and these are given not to be hidden, not to be chained, but to mature, refine, develop, preserve them with the objective of given glory to His Name. And truly foment in our heart and actions, the good that is correct, proper, intelligent, that has order and is practical. Otherwise, our world will lack what is most elemental.
We must develop our consciousness and turn it into a good work, otherwise we will be sorry. When we share the capacity that God has given us, we are glorifying Him. If we don’t have solidarity, we are an element that helps evil to extend. A good person, treasures dedication and effort. Becomes he is committed to the whole world in order not to be a burden but rather, to develop with a sense of energy and positive dynamism.
Poor is the man who thinking that he is astute, avoids effort and does not realize that what he really is doing, is a self denial of life. Let’s pray not to avoid effort and work, but let’s pray that the effort and work give fruits of peace, love and prosperity.

Every person, at some stage of his/her life, has assumed to know some information and knowledge and fervently believes to be absolutely right. But, after some time, the realization comes that maybe he was a little mistaken, and later on, that he was completely mistaken and in total confusion, because of having done a simple analysis , without taking the time to go deeply into the subject, in order to appreciate the meaning and the study of the spiritual experience. They assume, following their emotions, which are feelings and attitudes that don't give enough real understanding and the experience is taken out of proportion, and presented with a boastful attitude, where we are losing the opportunity of having the experience or understanding of what is been offered to us. And we assume that we know everything and besides, that we are capable of directing, teaching and giving orientation, but without the necessary spiritual maturity. We easily find boastful erudite, who lack depth and who because of tasting a drop of salted water, believe that they own the sea. Every person, who wants to grow in spirituality, should not hurry in the acquisition of power, glory, or phenomenon. They should not try to become a saint or guru in three days , but to realize that man is a creature that looks for the communion with his Creator, through Love. But we are not as God.

We can love Him, in order to get His Grace and Compassion. And God through His Sweet Wisdom, may teach us Truth, Justice and Love. I only understand that God is my strength, my wealth, my happiness and I don't despise my humanity, but I also know that man is a creature and not the Creator, and besides, God is Unique. He loved me first. i trust in Him above all things, i love, honor and respect my Creator, but this is not a one day work or seminar. It is a commitment of life, forever and ever. There are wise men in life, but this is thanks to the grace of God.

There is a hidden flavor and is not because it hides but because this is a treasure that few know how to recognize, for its exquisite sensibility. And is brought about when it is known that there is a truth that overcomes all and each one of the experiences. And which forever is the force of science itself.

Always vast as an inexhaustible sea would be and only compared with the infinity of the sky. It tells us how precious and exquisite is the only wonder, who makes great marvels as turning war into peace, darkness into light and also makes men to grow in all the magnitude of their values and in the depth and complexity of their own lives. Because, is capable of touching and renewing, of virtually calling and transferring them through time and space through reality and dreams. It always is light of victory and also is larger than nobility since is the flower of flowers, the light of lights. Because allows blind people to see, dumb people to talk, and even if we had no bodies or minds, we could feel and think if we only had the grace of His presence.

When it reaches man, takes him above what's material. It is life of life because with this power, even death would be a pleasure. It is greater than what's great and happiest than music. More descriptive than painting, more dynamic than dancing and wiser than all knowledge. It illuminates the sun and the moon, the minds and hearts of every being, man, woman, child.
Even the species, of every history, of every place. Because is as perfume that adorns, caress, that fills with life the whole presence, be divine or human. And thus, the key of destiny is the own destiny of every being. It is the enamored heart, the genuine principle in the heart who has awakened to the grace of giving and to the full joy of receiving.

Q: Is it possible to have a life free of doubts and fears and what do we need to do or not to do?

A: Life is a succession of events, from which we achieve spiritual maturity. To doubt is only a method of the consciousness that helps us to understand things better, that is to say: The inner and outer reality.If we have inner doubts, spirituality promises to free us from all those doubts through the real understanding of the meaning of the intrinsic way of life. Which is to live in order to realize Love. And then, doubts and unhappiness are transformed into the virtue of faith and the personal relationship with Love, which means, with God. This is fundamental and crucial but is not a magic act that assures a life with no problems or difficulties. That is unreal and we have to understand that the human being is always very close to pain and suffering. And this is because of the nature of the mind.Nevertheless, all those processes will be overcome, when the meaning of life is found, as far as values and morals are referred. This means that we will confront doubts, fears, etc, with enough courage and dedication to process every experience and to give our best.To conclude: Human life will always be fragile. But when human life and the presence of Love, become one, then, all the common miseries of existence can be overcome. But not by the use of arrogance and power but by the humility of a heart that receives the grace and purity of the true and real God.

Meditation has been born to be able to understand reality. It certainly is a spiritual art that transcends the senses, the forms and allows to know the unlimited essence. Meditation is a direct and absolute knowledge that goes beyond words and ideas. It is like submerging in the fountain of knowledge but that is only the beginning because a deep Meditation is plenitude, unconditional peaceful existence which has transcended the limits of reason in its ample range of extremes and dualities.
To meditate is to discover -in front of the light of silence, that life and the present are eternal. This is accomplished in deep and complex stages, where selfishness is transcended and suppressed.
Nevertheless and at the same time, the identity is maintained but it is bold and free now, as the vision, contemplation and unification with the grace of the creative unity.
To meditate is not only equilibrium, harmony and control but consistent action to meet reality. To the point that Meditation and reality become a unity that can't be divided. It is important to emphasize that this is the beginning and that starting with this accomplishment, the individual reaches a protection that makes him not a God but a humble devout of God. Because the knowledge of reality is the discovery and total understanding of Divine order, which makes man, an initiate of God's laws.

Life contains changing scenes, paradoxical situations where nothing would seem safe or stable. It is like a sea in movement, coming and going incessantly. But what's important and magnificent about this, are not the changes, it's the control and direction that we maintain in each one of the situations. As if we were the captain of a boat with many years of experience.

This wisdom is a gift from meditation: The calm in the disagreement...security in the insecurity, control in the uncontrollable. And in this way, we could continue forever the certain thing is that every situation requires an attitude.

However. if we find the way to peace, could we neglect to cultivate it ?
The external world is shaken and affected, laughs and cries, it is born and it dies but the peace that we find in meditation is permanent balance and constant harmony.
